It wasn't pretty but the 2022 Pitt Football season ended on a high note. 5th Year Senior back-up QB Nick Patti threw for 224 yards on 20 for 41 passing with 1 TD and 1 Int to lead the Panthers to their 9th win on the season en route to a 37-35 last minute win over UCLA in the Sun Bowl. It also gave Pitt head coach his fifth straight win to close out the season and 20 wins in the past 2 seasons, something the Panthers have not accomplished in 2 years since the 1981 and 1982 seasons.
