Adama Sonogo, a 5-star recruit from The Patrick School in Hillside, NJ, has trimmed his list to 10 schools. The University of Pittsburgh has made the list.

According to Rivals.com Sonogo, a 6’9 Center from Mali, is ranked 49th Nationally in the 2021 class. The 9th best Center prospect.

Along with Pittsburgh, Sonogo’s list includes Seton Hall, UConn, Memphis, Illinois, Nebraska, Auburn, Louisville, and Oklahoma State.

Coach Capel has made no bones about recruiting the best talent in America. Landing Sonogo would be a huge coup for the Pitt Basketball program. Pitt currently has 1 Center on scholarship in Karim Coulibaly.

Pitt has incoming Freshmen Center Max Adamasun signed, sealed, and delivered for next year. Giving Pitt much needed depth at that position. Even with that depth Pitt still has a lot of inexperience in both Adamasun and Coulibaly being Underclassmen.

According to VerbalCommits Pitt has also offered scholarships in the 2021 class at Center to 4-star 6’10 Frank Kepnang. 2-star Center 6’10 Micawber Etienne. 2-star 6’10 Nnanna Njoku.
