Notes:
Wiggins played quarterback and defensive back as a junior last season. Offensively, he threw for 858 yards and 10 touchdowns and rushed for 346 yards (7.9 ypc) and scored two touchdowns. Defensively, he had 86 tackles and seven interceptions. For his performance, Wiggins earned second-team 6A all-state honors and first-team all-Dade county honors.
Head coach Jeff Bertani: “He’s an explosive kid. He’s always making plays. He’s always around the football whether it’s on offense or defense. We run a traditional offense but sometimes we’ll spread it out a little bit. And defensively he’s just a smart, bright kid. He does a phenomenal job of reading the quarterback, getting the whole team in position of where they need to be and having an understanding of football.”
