Loe Commits To Pitt

The talent in Pennsylvania for the Class of 2017 is strong and Pat Narduzzi and Pitt just landed a member of it.

2017 Johnstown 3-star cornerback Exree Loe has verbally committed to Pitt, becoming Pitt’s first recruit for the Class of 2017.

2014_Pitt_Script_HelmetLoe (6-0, 170) made the decision while making a visit to Pittsburgh this weekend.  DreamBackfield.com confirmed from Loe that he committed Saturday night but went along with his wishes and didn’t make it public.

However, Loe did talk to DreamBackfield.com moments after deciding on Pitt. “My visit to Pitt was great. We visited everything that was getting fixed (facilities) last time I came. The new things done to the facility are great and the locker room impressed me the most.”, said Loe.

So why did Loe commit to Pitt so early? “My family and I thought it was a good fit and the coaches are great”, said Loe.  “And I have family out there (in Pittsburgh) if I need anything.”

Pitt was the first school and only school thus far to offer Loe. However, he believes he’s close to getting offers from Penn State, West Virginia, Virginia Tech and Temple.

Loe has been busy camping this summer, making trips to West Virginia and Penn State. In fact, he’s already made three trips to State College this summer. The Penn State coaches told him that wanted to see one of his first couple games this season before offering him.

In the end, Loe decided that Pitt was it and a lot of that was because of Pat Narduzzi. “My relationship with Coach is getting stronger and stronger everytime I see him. What I like about him is that he’s  people person. He just isn’t there to coach football, he’s interested in teaching his players life lessons.”

Loe tells me that he’s capable of playing both cornerback and safety. He described himself as a smart and physical player and that his speed is the strongest part of his game.

Assuming Loe does eventually sign his letter of intent, he’ll give Narduzzi and defensive coordinator Josh Conklin another talented player in the secondary. They’d love to eventually pair Loe up with Jordan Whitehead, Damar Hamlin, Paris Ford and Khaleke Hudson.
