The streak continues. Pitt continued its dominance over its city brethren Duquesne by defeating the Dukes 76-62 for the 14th straight time and 19 out of the last 21 games.

In the annual “City” game, the Panthers were led by junior point guard James Robinson who score a career-high 23 points after being held to one field goal a few nights ago in a loss at Indiana.

Robinson shot 6 for 14 from the floor, 3 for 8 from behind the arc but perhaps most impressively 8 for 10 from the line to lead Pitt to victory.

Pitt sophomore reserve point guard Josh Newkirk added 16 points and Chris Jones scored 12, which included several key field goals late in the second half.

The Dukes were led by Jordan Stevens and TySean Powell, who had had 15 points each, while Derrick Colter added 13 but Duquesne (3-2) lstruggled to keep up with the more powerful Panthers.

Pitt outrebounded Duquesne 44-37, blocked five shots and held the Dukes to just 37 percent shooting.
