University of Pittsburgh Head Football Coach Paul Chryst is well known for his pro-style ‘ground and pound’ offense.  It appears he and his staff has already targeted a power back from Florida.  “Coach (Matt) House was the first guy to contact me.  He was telling me everything about the Pitt program,” stated 2015 Melbourne (FL) Palm Bay running back Sekai Lindsay (5-foot-11 inches, 210 pounds).  “He told me about the program they were building and Heinz Field.  It sounded amazing.”

“Coach House said they would come through with a scholarship offer and they did,” he said.  Lindsay has received scholarship offers from Pitt, Cincinnati, Temple and Idaho.  “Temple just offered me today.”

“I want to go to a program that will allow me to grow and develop throughout my career,” he said.  “Education is really important to me as well.  I’m torn right now between majoring in business and marketing or psychology.”

Lindsay was asked to describe his style of running and he stated, “I’m pretty good at everything.  It depends on the situation.  If you need a power back, I can go north to south.  If you need speed, I can run a 4.49 forty yard dash.   I like to think I’m a complete running back.”

“I have grown up rooting for a lot of the big Florida programs like Florida and Miami, but I have no issue going out of state for school,’ he said.  “It would be nice to have my mother watch me play, but Pitt’s in the ACC and they are going to be on television a lot.”

“I recently spoke with Pitt’s new running backs coach John Settle.  He seems like a really knowledgeable guy.  We spoke about keeping my grades up, my ACT and what he wants to do at Pitt.”

“I have strong interest in the Pitt program.  I want to learn more about it.  Right now, I’m hoping I can get up there (Pittsburgh) next month.  I want to learn more about the program.”
