It may be snowing outside, but inside the Peterson Events Center it was a boiling hot night for Pitt. The Panthers shot a blistering 56% from the floor and routed Clemson 76-43 in the process.

Pitt was led by senior center Talib Zanna, who scored 22 points (on 9 for 10 shooting) and was unstoppable force on offense. Zanna also added 2 blocks and 2 steals while helping the Panthers to hold the Tigers to only 32% (16-50) from the floor.

Clemson’s star forward KJ McDaniels was the top scorer for the Tigers with 11 points on just 4-11 shooting.

But Pitt (17-2 overall and 5-1 in the ACC) led from beginning to end and truly dominated Clemson (13-5 overall and 4-2 in the ACC) in nearly every facet of the game.

Star forward Lamar Patterson added 13 points (on 3-7 shooting) and shooting guard Cam Wright scored 12 points (5 for 8 shooting) in the winning effort.
