Will Hargrove Pick Pitt?

Pitt’s 2016 recruiting class already has 3 kids from the state of Ohio, will Bryce Hargrove be the fourth?

In less than 48 hours, Hargrove (Akron, Ohio) will announce his college decision and Pitt is a finalist. The 6-6, 255 pound defensive told me that, “I’m down to Pitt, Rutgers and Cincinnati.”

Hargrove has formed a tight bond with Pitt assistants Tom Sims and  John Peterson, “I have conversations with both of them 4 or 5 times a week.”

Despite talk that he could play on the offensive side of the ball, Hargrove told me that he’ll play either defensive end or defensive tackle in college.

Aside from Hargrove, Pitt is currently recruiting a bunch of other defensive ends too: Zack Gilbert (Charlotte, NC), Tymir Oliver (Philadelphia, PA), Andre Mintze (Philadelphia, PA), Jamal Holloway (Camden, NJ) and Jamal Smith (Hialeah, Fla).

Although Hargrove hasn’t decided on a school yet, he has decided that he’ll be majoring in biology.

Pitt currently has seven verbal commitments for 2016: WR Ruben Flowers, OL Brandon Ford, CB Bricen Garner, QB Thomas MacVittie, RB Chawntez Moss, LB Chase Pine and WR/CB Maurice Ffrench.
