Georgia Tech (3-0) vs. Virginia Tech (2-1)

  • 12 p.m. – ESPN
  • Hokies -8
  • Georgia Tech squeaked by Georgia Southern last weekend at home, using every bit of all four quarters to edge out a 42-38 win. The Hokies fell down 21-0 early against East Carolina but managed to come back and tie up the game at 21-all late in the fourth quarter before surrendering a last-minute TD drive.

Iowa (2-1) vs. Pittsburgh (3-0)

  • 12 p.m. – ESPNU
  • Panthers -7
  • Iowa lost to in-state rival Iowa State, and therefore lost the Cy-Hawk Trophy on a last second field goal in Iowa City last weekend. Before that, the Hawkeyes posted single-digit victories over Northern Iowa and Ball State. Pittsburgh trampled Delaware 62-0 in its season opener before going on the road and beating Boston College by 10.

Maryland (2-1) vs. Syracuse (2-0)

  • 12:30 p.m. – ACC Network
  • Orange -1.5
  • The Terrapins tried to stage a ferocious comeback last week after falling behind early to West Virginia but fell short, losing 40-37 in Morgantown. Syracuse needed overtime to beat FCS Villanova in week one but cruised by Central Michigan last weekend on the road.

Tulane (1-2) vs. Duke (3-0)

  • 12:30 p.m. – FS Carolinas
  • Blue Devils -17
  • Tulane bounced back from a pair of losses to open the season with a win last week against Southeastern Louisiana. The Blue Devils embarrassed Kansas 41-3 in Durham after wins against Elon and Troy.

Maine (1-1) vs. Boston College (2-1)

  • 1 p.m. – ESPN3
  • Eagles -23
  • The Black Bears have scored 20 points in their first two games. They beat Norfolk State 10-6 in week one, and followed it up with a 13-10 loss against Bryant last week. Boston College is coming off one of the bigger upsets in school history. The Eagles rushed for 452 yards and beat No. 9 Southern California 37-31.

Army (1-1) vs. Wake Forest (1-2)

  • 3:30 p.m. – ESPN3
  • Black Knights -2.5
  • Army hosted the Buffalo Bulls in week one and won 47-39, but they were blanked 35-0 last week against the Stanford Cardinal in California. The Demon Deacons split their opening two weeks against Louisiana-Monroe (L) and Gardner-Webb (W), but dropped below .500 again last week after being outscored 22-0 in the second quarter against Utah State. Wake Forest lost to the Aggies 36-24.

North Carolina (2-0) vs. East Carolina (2-1)

  • 3:30 p.m. – ESPNU
  • Pirates -3
  • The Tar Heels needed a fourth-quarter comeback against San Diego State last week to keep their record perfect through two weeks. Outscoring the Aztecs 17-6 in the final 15 minutes, UNC prevailed 31-27. East Carolina is looking to extend its streak of consecutive wins against ACC schools to four after beating Virginia Tech in Blacksburg last weekend 28-21.

Virginia (2-1; 1-0) vs. #21 BYU (3-0)

  • 3:30 p.m. – ESPN
  • Cougars -15
  • The Cavaliers gave up 14 points in the fourth quarter to No. 21 Louisville last week but kicked a late field goal to win 23-21. The victory ended an 11-game losing streak against FBS opponents and a 10-game skid against ACC foes. BYU beat Houston by eight last Thursday, five days after thrashing Texas 41-7.

Louisville (2-1; 1-1) vs. FIU (1-2)

  • 3:30 p.m. – Fox Sports 1
  • Cardinals -27
  • The Cardinals earned their first victory as members of the ACC in week one over Miami 31-13. A two-point loss to Virginia on the road last week dropped Louisville’s conference record to 1-1. FIU sandwiched a 34-3 victory against Wagner between a two-point loss to Bethune-Cookman in week one and a 17-point loss to Pittsburgh last week.

Presbyterian (2-1) vs. N.C. State (3-0)

  • 6:00 p.m. – ESPN3
  • Wolfpack -39.5
  • N.C. State needed a double-digit comeback in the fourth quarter of its season opener against Georgia Southern to avoid losing. Since then, the Wolfpack have beaten Old Dominion by 12 and USF by 32. In FCS Presbyterian’s season opener, its only other game against an FBS opponent, the Blue House fell to Northern Illinois 55-3.

No. 22 Clemson (1-1) vs. No. 1 Florida State (2-0)

  • 8 p.m. – ABC
  • Seminoles -14.5
  • Clemson did not look good in its season opener against Georgia, losing 45-21, but bounced back and pummeled FCS South Carolina State 73-7. The Seminoles, who scored 37 points against both Oklahoma State and The Citadel in wins, will be without Heisman-winning quarterback Jameis Winston for the first half due to a suspension. (You may have heard about this.)

Miami (2-1; 0-1) vs. No. 24 Nebraska (3-0)

  • 8 p.m. – ESPN2
  • Cornhuskers -8
  • Miami’s offense struggled to put points on the board against Louisville in the season opener, but responded with 41 points in weeks two and three in wins against Florida A&M and Arkansas State. The Cornhuskers closest game thus far was a seven-point win over McNeese State in week two.
